Hi just a quick update! Parker is perfect, he is just what we wanted and more! He has settled so well and we love him, he has his own recliner chair in the sun in the peaceful back room. Such an affectionate we man :) thank you soo soo much we are so happy and so is, Nosey Parker :) here are some photos...hope you like them. Thank you again
Just a wee update on Fluffy AKA Oscar !
he has really settled in less than 1 1/2 days was no longer creeping about but trotting about with his little tail in the air.
He is so affectionate as as soon as we enter the conservatory he is jumping of 'his' chair and coming onto our knee or squeezing in between us, rolling over and plodding. He has not yet been introduced to Molly as we would like a couple more days just to let him settle in as he hasnt ventured out of the conservatory to the living room yet , even with the door left open.
Hi is an absolute treasure & thank you for the privilege of bringing him to our home.
He will be well looked after & loved.
Many thanks Ros & Ken
Laddie had a wonderful day today and so did we! He loved the park and delighted many people by letting them throw his ball and stroke him. Think we even managed to tire him out by this eve as he lay flaked beside the table at our dinner time. He is up and bouncing with ball in garden with Sol right now. Hope you havent missed him too much. S x
Twiggy (nee Tiggy)
She is the most unusual cat I have ever had. She has numerous little communicative noises, sighs, meows and purrs an awful lot. She loves to play with a piece of string, all day if she could and loves sitting on window watching world go by. A great wee moggy.
Bill and Bob
Been meaning to do this for a while since we've been having such lovely dry weather! After winter in a smallish paddock due to their Houdini impressions (and a few weeks in the dog run due to hideous mud!) we have had a digger man here and got some fencing done so the boys are now safe, secure and so far escape-free in their big field!! They are absolutely loving life, they've dug a hole about three feet wide and a foot deep and it's their own personal snack cupboard lol. Bill (Pinky) is still the more 'prickly' pig, he's still nervous of being approached from behind or cornered but he does enjoy a good old scratch behind the ears now! Bob is like a dog, if I open the gate and he is out of sight I hear him before I see him, he comes running and grunting to see what I am doing and if there is any food involved haha!As you can see from the pics they have both put on a good amount of weight - I actually couldn't believe the difference when I saw these old pics. When they came I knew they were thin but I didn't realise how thin! And those horrible scars on their sides from fighting have gone too. Their new round bellies will hopefully mean it's harder for them to squeeze under fences this summer ;)We get such a lot of enjoyment from them. Most people would probably think that sounds mental but I could easily lose half an hour just watching them pottering about, rooting, play fighting and rolling in the muck. And they are about to get some new neighbours - we are planning to adopt some ex-battery hens in the next few weeks from a place near you. They'll be in the separate paddock to begin with but I am hoping they will all be friends by the end of the summer, I'm making it my mission to get a photo of a hen standing on top of a pig...Hope all is well with you and yoursClaire x

Thank you so much for letting us adopt Jove. He is such a playful, energetic pup but also very nosey! lol.Very fond of meeting new canines on his walks up in the hills with his new brother Whiskey.Always looking for cuddles and kisses and has settled in well.Such a handsome chap!
Bella (the wee blind and deaf kitten)
Just a quick email to let you know that Bella is settling in well. She is very active, mischievous and playful but also loves to snuggle up on a lap contentedly while purring loudly. She is eating heartily and is almost fully litter try trained already. In terms of her difficulties I have to say that this is barely noticeable as she now seems to respond to certain noises while she can chase and pounce on a toy mouse as well as any kitten I have ever seen so she is not letting anything get in her way!
I have attached a couple of pictures for you and will continue to keep you updated as time passes in the mean time we all thank you very much for this beautiful and joyous addition to our family.
Cleo is very happy to have a big garden to run around and so she is rarely still enough to get a photo!! I am sure she must be a lot younger than 4yrs - she is such a live wire! She has settled in really well now and knows when it is time for a walk and food! One day, she and the cat will get on ok...!She is however a delight to have round the house and with the family and she is great company for me on my walks (a very wet one this morning!) and while I am at home alone!
Just a quick update, Zuki is settling in well. He's found his favourite spots and loves an afternoon nap on the lap, not letting us move for hours :) He even survived his first day (couple of hours) on his own well on Friday.
Walnut is doing great, eats allot and plays with his toys all day, then at night sleeps with us in same bed.
will try to take some pictures later on.
Thanks again, he is perfect :-))
Charlie (aka Peter)
I hope you are well and had a lovely christmas. Just wanted to update with a few more photos of charlie! He is keeping well and fully settled now into our famiy and enjoying a pretty easy life of walks and playing!
You rehomed a cat called Mustard with me almost 5 years ago. I hope you still remember her, she had been with you for 8 months and no one would take her because she was very shy and nervous and hid when anyone new came to see her. I love her very much and although she still occassionally hides she is not nervous anymore. She is hugely affectionate and loves nothing better than to climb on me or my partner to get her ears scratched. I will always remember you for giving me the opportunity to look after her and I don't know what I'd ever do without her now. Attached is a recent photo of her in her new favourite spot right next to the radiator. She seems very happy and settled. I am blessed to have her.
Well I have been in my new home for a week now and I am settling in nicely.
I go out walking every day but I am still not sure about the traffic.
Mummy lets me stand back from the road and just watch the cars go by until
I get used to them. I have met the neighbours and they all think I am so
I am enjoying all my yummy food and have sardines and mackrel added in to
make my coat shine. I am still using the crate at night but I can sneak
out of it during the night and get up on mummy's bed. I have been getting
presents from friends and family members and my favorite is a shoe which I
can chew and clean my teeth. Mummy and I enjoy playing with my toys and
then we relax with me sitting on her knee to have a wee sleep.
Fred - also known as Fred the terrorist, Fred Flintstone, Fred Astaire,
Freddie Kruger and Freddie Teddie!!!
Hi, thought I would send you some new photos of buddy enjoying the snow!! We have him nearly a year
and it wouldnt be possible to love him more than we do! Thank you and we hope all your little furry
friends find such happy homes!
Jay is getting on well with our two kids, has walks in the park every day and enjoys going on camping trips with us in our old Campervan. She is a beauiful dog, very friendly and loves the kids. Many thanks and good luck with all your work
Jazz (aka Nigel)
Hello to all at 7th Heaven, I have attached some photos of Nigel (Jazz) who we adopted in November 2012. He is doing great, a gas little guy with lots of cheeky personality and a bold sideJ
He loves his walks and his sleeps and a good play time! He’s enjoying coming into work with me every now and again and visiting the swans in the Forest Park!
Thanks again to everyone, particularly Karen.
Hi, just letting you know I got Lola from Karen on 8th October last year, and she is a real joy. She settled straight away and is absolutely thriving. She eats everything (loves yogurt!!) and loves her walks, loves running around the field chasing her ball and just loves everyone she meets. She is so intelligent, so good and well-behaved. I love her to pieces and we are inseparable, together all the time. After what she went through, she still is so full of love and trust, and loves life! She really is my best friend. Love Barbara.
Rhubarb & Custard
We've attached some pictures of Rhubarb & Custard, they've grown up fast, but they really are part of the family, whenever it's bedtime, Rhubarb goes up up to Tim's laptop and closes it, he loves Tim to pieces, and Custard loves to come on my knee each day and loves being fussed, so different to when we first met him. They're gorgeous, my brother came over to stay and loved them, he was playing with them for hours, Rhubarb loved him, he really missed him when he'd gone. Thanks so much for 2 lovely cats.
Charlie (aka Peter)
Hopefully above this should be some pictures of Charlie! :) I can hardly believe we have only had him for 10 weeks and we really couldnt imagine life without him. He has settled really well and is now used to our routine. We have noticed a real difference in him especially in the last couple of weeks as he looks for our attention alot more and has even started licking us!
He is very content and just loves to be in company like you said. On command (and for a treat of course!) he can now sit, lie down, roll over, give paw, give alternate paws and balance on his hind legs giving both paws at once and we are working on 'play dead'! He is doing extremely well with his off lead training too and we have had him off a few times on stormont and on a forest walk. He was hilarious the first time we took him to the beach as i suppose he had probably never seen sand before and just spent most of the time racing around in it.
He is 20 kg which the vet said is perfect and we are just feeding him dried food mainly as we tried canned stuff but his tummy is a bit sensitive so we quickly learnt!! He still sleeps in the crate (which he now loves!) but at the minute we are weaning him off it so now at night and if we are out the door of it is left open and he can wander around the kitchen and i hope to have him completely weaned off it by some time in summer so we will be able to get the crate back to you.
Really he is a fantastic pet and thank you so much for letting us have him, even the vet said how lucky we were to find him and what a great dog he is! If you are ever up our direction you are more then welcome to call in and say hi to him and when we return ur crate we will definitely bring him down with us to say hello.
hope you are well and hopefully see you soon, Claire, Chris & Charlie
Tina & Jess (aka Sienna & Savanagh)
We just got the dogs Sienna, now Tina and Savanagh, now Jess. Tina is really playful and both just LOVE cuddles. They enjoy their walks and both are starting to get lead training, although Jess has slipped out of her harness twice. They always want to chew absolutely everything. Tina enjoys everytime I go out and play football with her. Every day I come home from school and sit down the dogs jump up on me and lick me all over the face and I love it. They are wonderful dogs and I'm glad we got them. I love sitting on a chair cuddling Jess and when I run she just runs by my side. They both cuddle up together when they sleep. Ryan McC
These adorable little pups are now in their perfect home; gettle cuddles all day, walks around parks in Newcastle or just through our estate where they make new friends. They have their puppy classes weekly where they definitely are learning new tricks. Once when I came in after a 7 hour trip, Tina was very hyer jumping up and round seats at practically 50 miles per hour!!! I'd say I love them when they come to meet me after school, but by that time they have met everyone in our family. Chris McC
Miss Purr-fect (Willow)
Just a quick update on her. She is purring away and doing great. Fantastic company and a laugh a minute, even dad is starting to come round to cats when he's out to visit! So glad I was able to adopt her, would be lost without her now.
Just a little update about Daisy ( now called Daisy Boo ). She's really settled well much to my surprise. She lay in her basket all last night and caused no damage. Loves the fellas, supposed to be my cat but won't leave Stuart & Aaron alone. They love her just as much as I do.
Has eaten everything I have gave her. Oh, and she likes kebab meat. Aaron gave her a bit and she begged for more. Been watching out of the windows as you said.
Got a fright this morning when she saw next door's dog through the window.
The dog is totally harmless ( I get a free wash when she sees me ) but Daisy Boo lew out of the frontroom. I take it she doesn't like dogs then.Beautiful cat, no complaints, she's just lovely.Sharon & Stuart
Bella and gracie (aka Gracie and Madge)
Both girls are doing really well, toilet trained and hopefully I think they are enjoying life at home. So glad we picked them both cause I wouldnt have wanted them to be parted. happy little home with all of them
I am happy to say that she has settled into our home brilliantly. She has become one of the family and we all love her. She is a lovely dog - initially a bit nervy but understandable given the big change in her life. As the days go by, she becomes more confident and just loves being cuddled and loads of attention. She also loves long walks and has loved sunday walks around Hillsbrough lake. We are so lucky to have Poppy in our lives - as you know we lost our Jack Russell Koko after 16 yrs in Feb and Poppy has helped us all move on. I am also pleased to say that she is no longer the fussy eater that she was at first. She is eating well and sleeps well at night. Once again, thank you so much for letting us have Poppy.
Hi everyone at 7th Heaven!!Hi guys! It’s Archie here! You remember me better as Harry. My daddies took me home last April and one year later. I want to tell you I’ve been having the bestest time ever since! They changed my name from Harry to Archie because they said it wasn’t special enough for a special guy like me!My home is amazeballs! I have so many places to play, a great family to love and thankfully lots of comfy places to sleep. It’s so hard being me sometimes! One of my favourite things is to cuddle into my daddies at night. My brother, Demon, usually gets too warm and sleeps on the floor so have all the space to myself (after I finish pushing my daddies out of bed as they sleep). I make sure to thank them every morning for giving me such a brilliant home. I took this photo of my new family. As you can see i’m top of the gang; just as it should be! Sometimes I let my brother Demon take charge when i’m not there butI can’t leave him too long. He’s just a silly Husky!!! He’s 5 years older than me but I let him know who’s boss! Big things come in small packages! We like to wrestle everyday and it’s usually how we wake up our daddies in the morning. I think they like it! When we are outside, we run all around the garden. It’s especially fun when I steal a coat hanger from the wardrobe and my daddies try to catch me. They are just too slow!! But sometimes Demon spoils me fun and gets the hanger from me! He’s such a spoil sport!! :( I love bath times!! In fact I love them so much I get in the tub and wait so my daddies will bath me everyday. But they are really mean and only bath me when I need it! Boo! At least they turn the taps on for me to play with if they don’t bath me! The only thing I like better than bathtime is just after I’ve got out of the bath. I like to play chase with my daddies and make them run after me with the towel before I get everything wet. But they never stop me from soaking the bed!! I get to visit my cousins down in Newcastle every week. They are smaller dogs but my cousin Mini is much older than me so I always do as she tells me. If I step out of line she always tells me off. But I know she loves me really. DJ is lots of fun! He’s the same age as me so we can run for hours and hours and hours!!! More recently that Daddies brought home a smelly cat to join our family. At first I was annoyed I wasn’t the smallest or youngest thing in the house, but once I realised I could play with him, I decided he could stay. Although our daddies tell us off, the favourite thing for me and Bruce to do is run up and down the stairs trying to catch each other. He’s a big cheater though and he jumps on the windowsill so I can’t get him! I tried getting up once but I got stuck and had to cry for my daddies to come save me. Silly cheating cat! He makes up for it by being really soft when he cuddles into me at night! Even though he isn’t a dog, he’s my brother! EDIT: They brought home another smelly cat! I now have two comfy purring pillows to sleep!! This is called Charlie and he is an even bigger cheater than Bruce! Tut My daddies got a photo of the time I got stuck on the window! It’s so embarrassing!!!! I also like cuddling up to Demon because he’s really soft and cuddly too; Like a big teddy bear. My daddies tell me he is like that to keep him warm in the snow, but I think he purposefully grew his fur like that to keep me comfy. I’m that special! My daddies bought me my own bed but I prefer sharing with Demon. I also like his bed because I can chew on it when I get bored, which is like all the time!! I wish my daddies could just walk and play with me all day! But for now, 2 walks a day will do I suppose. At least they have plenty of nice things to chew on. Like hangers and shoes and drawers and screwdrivers and yoghurt pots and plant pots and... Demon has also taught me how to do some more tricks like lying down and rolling over. Not quite sure why I have to do it, but I know when I do I get delicious treats like ham or gravy biscuits! Yum! Demon is such a copy-cat! He even sleeps like me now! Big brothers can be so annoying!! Here is me showing Demon how to play at the beach. He was such a silly dog he ran straight into the water and got wet. I showed him that the really brave dogs run towards the water then run away from the waves barking! It shows the waves who’s boss!! He never really got it! Huskies!!! I want to say a big thank you to everyoneat 7th heaven. Without you I would never have found such an amazing home and my daddies wouldn’t have found such a brilliant dog (i.e. me!). I have to run now, my daddy just put on his new trainers so I have to pull on his laces to make sure he has them tied properly! Bye!!! Archie xx
Some pictures of wee Buddy for you to see! He's doing great and we love him to pieces :)
Alfie (aka Dave)
Somebody (besides you!) has clearly loved him before we brought him home. He is as you said very well-mannered, a good companion for me and a willing playmate for James and Martin. He's also super smart; we should have no trouble adding to his skill set (which seems to include Come and Drop as well as Sit) once we figure out how! I hope you enjoy these pictures; we'll send more soon. Thank you again for suggesting Alfie (aka Dave) to us. :) Jennie
Please see attached photos of Charlie who has settled in well with no major issues. He has well and truly got his feet firmly under the table. He still pulls when taking him on walks and barks at other dogs (not all, only some) and birds! Going to take him to training/obedience classes to try and get him to kick the bad habits! A fussy eater too and won’t eat dried Wagg at all. Have to add water or a bit of tinned food. Even then he licks up the wet, pokes out the tinned food and leaves the Wagg. Have to try him on a different variety of dry. Charlie is very loveable and loves getting stroked/tummy tickled to the point of him going to sleep, then snores away! He is loved by all who meet him, but no more than by those in our home. Many thanks
Just an update on Muffin now nicknamed Muffy, we got her on 1st October 2011 and she is adorable,
she loves attention and being nursed and loves sleeping with us on her blanket in bed at night.
She is one spoilt little madam. Margaret.
Just a little update on toby. He settled in and is lord of the manor :) He just loves attention and refuses to rest anywhere else but on me when I'm sitting down! He's like my shadow but he's very sweet and good natured. Affectionate head bumps are his favourite past time (apart from eating and sleeping!). So glad I found him :)All the best
Bisto (aka Tommy of Tommy & Cooper)
We are so delighted with Bisto (aka Tommy), he has settled in really well and he is a real charmer. Loves hugs and playing!! When we take him for walks he loves to jump onto walls and walk along them, its his favourite trick for a treat. Just thought I'd let you know that we love him and I think he loves us. Thanks for letting us adopt such a great pup!!
Hello, we adopted Pickles yesterday, and it is the best decision we made.
She was scared at first but during the night she kept coming closer and closer to the bed until she ended up sleeping on it with us :)
She is very happy, been puring all morning. She has ate her food so isnt too worried about her new home. She has made herself at home very fast.
Thank you for giving her to us, we are very happy and will send some Pictures of her as soon as we get some.Sam
My husband and I adopted Pickles last week, she is doing very well and we love her to bits. She has found a spot where she loves to sit on the stairs and have an overview. We are both very impressed on how clean she is :)
We have decided to adopt another cat for her to play with whist we are at work. My husband said that it would be a great idea to adopt another cat from 7th heaven :) so we now have Ebony
We wanted to thank you so much for our dear Kitty Kat. We've had her several months now and absolutely LOVE her!! She looks so similar to our first tabby cat but manages to be even cuter, and is very affectionate, loving to curl up beside us or on top of us! Unlike our first cat who scratched doors to ask in (though we tried to train her out of it), she simply meows like a lady to be let in to any room! She is very good with the children as well - particularly showing affection to my little girl. She has brought so much joy to us. We so appreciate also the natural health information you told us - so simple and easy to use. She is very happy and healthy! Thank you again, God bless you in all your activities, and have a wonderful New Year!!! :) Mary
I just thought I'd let you know how Max has got on in his first couple of days. Yesterday we had two walks and I actually managed to tire him out! This morning we had our first obedience class and he was very good, no problem with being around other dogs. He is so bright and keen to learn that I think we'll both get a lot out of it. This afternoon I introduced him to the beach and I have never seen a dog enjoy himself so much!! He was so excited he was running and jumping all over the place (on the long lead of course). He walks well on the lead. He is behaving well in the house, only one wee 'accident' so far, and he is just so eager to please. I've attached a couple of photos, not easy to get him to stay still for long, but they're not bad.
Thank you so much again for all your help and I'll keep you posted on his progress.
Sylvia (and Max)
Jackson (aka Shane)
Thought i would send you some pics of Jackson settled into his new family home!
He has been good as gold! arrived home on Tuesday and inspected the premises, ate all his dinner, went for a good walk round the shore and promptly settled himself on the sofa. On Wednesday his granny June came to visit and although was supposed to come for an hour stayed all afternoon with him, in her words 'he's a lovely wee article'! He loves his new kennel/ski chalet and today has been eating sausages. He has started to play with his toys and a friend from my work got him a toy duck that quacks which he loves!. He has many admirers amongst friends and family across the UK and has even appeared on Facebook. He loves his walks and asks at the door when he needs to go out which is fantastic, he really could not have made the transition any easier for us! We are so delighted with him and look forward to many long walks and happy times. Thanks again
Can you please take kymber the 2 year old border collie cross of your website - since starting her on the bachs remedies she seems to have calmed down and there has be no more incidents, it was breaking my heart with worry giving her up also as I would just be worried if she had settled in a new home or if she was being treated right.
Just thought I would give you an update (and a few snaps!) of Benji. He is getting on great with us! Hes such a wee dote. We love him to bits!!! He seems to have settled in well, which we are both thrilled with as he really was so happy with you I was so worried he wouldn't take to us - but he seems to have and seems really happy which is fab! He has taken really well to my family too, especially my mum. We havn't introduced him to Rays family yet as he gets a bit stressed during car rides and I don't think it would be fair to take him on a 2 hour drive down to Navan. Ray is concerned about how he is with other dogs but honestly, he isnt that bad! He barks and growls just like most dogs do! He can be a bit funny with strangers in our house and has growled a few times at people (I've noticed its mostly men) but he eventually comes round once he has had a good sniff! He is probably just being protective.
Hope you like the pictures! There are some fab ones there - he is such a character! Sorry about the quality of the photos, I took them on my phone and its rubbish! lol. Love,Stephanie, Ray and wee Benji!
Bently and Maggie
There's some pics of the two puppies. Everything going great with the two of them. Bently sleeps in my bed and Maggie sleeps with my dad. They had some pigs ears and of course they loved them. Both of them are getting really big now. Maggie likes putting her head out the window of the car and trying to eat the air and Bently just sleeps. Louise xox
It has been a pleasure having Foxley in the house he settled in immediately. Very content. Poor Zappa however isn't happy of course it will take time with her Bengali stubborn nature. :) He is a fabulous cat and thanks so much for giving him to us. Yet again we have been so impressed with the care You give to the cats. Fox is currently snoring at my feet whereas Zappa is on her bed in the spare room. He adores getting groomed and i am looking forward to getting his proper brush instead of using my old hair brush :) Doesn't seem to bother him though.
Thanks again. Hopefully the teething problems with Zappa won't last for too long we have fallen in love with him as much as we did with her. (Eamonn says i am not allowed to look on Your website anymore cos we would have a menagerie of cats LOL). Thanks again
Sincerely Carla and Eamonn
Just thought you'd like to know how Arthur is getting on... he is settling very well, eating well and keeping us all fit with all the brisk walks. You forgot to mention he was an acrobat lol jumped out of the pen we built for him lol. He loves playing tug of war with the mop and hoover - its very funny to watch :)
Rory (aka Lightning)
We got the dogs home without any problem. Rory had a light supper (along with some of the doggie cake I'd baked) and he also ate his breakfast this morning. He turned down half a Bonio and also some banana - maybe this is due to the newness of it all. I then took both dogs out to the back garden to go to the toilet and then the fun began. By the end of it we were all covered in mud. I was knackered, Rory (Lightening) was knackered and Jess was wanting more, more, more. This dog Rory clearly isn't fit enough !!!
Once bedtime came there was no problem apart from the fact that Rory found it all a bit strange. Angela and me didn't sleep after the excitement of the evening - but the dogs did. At 6.00 this morning they were both raring to go again !!! They both have been out and well exercised again this morning - again there's no doubt that Jess is the fitter of the two. There were a couple of boisterous moments and Rory did have an accident in the house this morning - but there's also already been a few great moments.
We give Jess Stagbars. If you haven't heard of them Google STAGBAR. Already both of them are sharing Stagbars and they're both staying together and also finding their own space. There's no doubt they like each other, however we do remain seriously worried in case we've taken on too much and on a couple of occasions there's been growls when the play has got a wee bit rough but I suppose it's better being concerned than being over confident. We do have the full week off to get them settled together.
We've also had the dogs down to Carrickfergus today. The coffee shop we go to has an outside area and Jess is welcomed every Saturday (she has her own fan club). Last week we told the people that Jess might have a friend this week so Rory was welcomed today. The coffee shop usually ditches the heels of bread so Jess and Rory had 2 rounds (heels) of toast each - and we weren't charged a penny . Rory slipped his collar last night - but it was in the garden. To take no chances we used a harness on him today. He walked very well when we took a walk along the sea-front at Carrickfergus - much better than Jess.
As I write I'm in our sunroom and both dogs are happily on the settee opposite me. I've taken a photo but I don't know how to attach it - I'll get Angela to send it to you when she has a moment. I've no doubt Rory misses you - it was obvious you'd grown attached - but, as we said last night, over the next week we'll do all we can to settle the dogs together and if that works then hopefully they will have many years of fun and company together.
Thanks again, David & Angela
Thankfully I think we can say that Rory will be staying with us.There's no doubt that we've taken on a bit more than we expected but Rory and Jess are getting on great - they're now like the terrible twins and we think the problem with the barking is settling down.
Last night they accidently knocked down a vase while they were playing and it broke. It was an accident but their reaction was so funny as they immediately stopped playing sat down together and looked very guilty. It was hard to tell them off. Also last night we had the fire on for the first time and the two of them flopped on top of each other beside the fire - it was just so brilliant to see two dogs who have obviously had a rough start in life being so comfortable together.
We really noticed them getting on well last Friday. Rory was sick (he brought up bile) and he just wanted to lie down for a while. As the picture attached shows Jess got up on the settee beside him and from that moment they've been so close. We also got Rory clipped as he was a bit untidy - the difference is remarkable. We are finding it tough as they are 2 very energetic dogs and we're glad we have a reasonable garden as walking them isn't tiring them out - but the signs are that they will be perfect together.
Happy Christmas !! Just a couple of photos of Rory (aka Lightening) to let you see how he's getting on. It hard to believe we've had him 4-months now and yet in another way it seems like he's been with us for ages.
Although we'd a good garden when we got Rory we did mention to you that we aimed to improve it. Rory and Jess have now got a really good garden and we've also extended their run slightly (to 24 foot in length).
The first picture attached shows Jess and Rory looking over the completed work - I think they approve !!!
Also - there has to be a Christmas photo at this time of the year.
Jess and Rory reacted so well to each other right from the first second they met - there's no doubt they were made for each other - they're inseperable even though their characters are so different. Rory loves lounging whereby Jess wants to play all the time. It's so funny watching as she'll bark and bark at him wanting him to play. If that fails then she starts pulling at his collar and if that fails she starts pulling at his ears. He's so patient.
Probably Rory has never had a good Christmas - hopefully he'll have a good one this year.
Thanks again for looking after Rory until he got a home.
Take care - have a great Christmas
Zoey (Lola's pup)
Just thought we’d let you know how Zoe is getting on. She has really settled in and seems very happy. Toilet training is not going too badly, still some accidents but not too many. She is really friendly and thinks everyone should be her friend! She has made friends with my mums dog, Jessie, although she is 11 and has to hide and rest every so often! She tortures the Alsatian in the house behind us, running along the fence and driving the poor dog barking mad. Zoe doesn’t bark back.
She has grown and now weighs nearly 5kg! We are still feeding her autarky and little bits of our food. Still have to be careful though, the after effects can be nasty! She has also stopped eating her poo, thank goodness that was really driving me mad.She is just like another child and leaves her toys lying all round the house just like the other 3!
I’ve sent you some pics so you can see how she has grown. I seen the ones of Amber on the website, Zoes coat is really different, its really velvety with just a sprinkling of longer hairs. She is just gorgeous! Loves her cuddles and will try to push the kids out of the way so she gets her cuddles! Loves playing and one of her favourite toys is a full-size space hopper! Really funny. She is a little bundle of energy and we all love her to bits!
I just wanted to drop you a quick email to let you know that Hugs has settled into her new home and to thank you again!I have attached a picture to this email - a rare moment when she was sitting still and not telling us what to do! She has settled in well and seems to be enjoying her new home. Thanks again!
Shey's only been with us a week and he's settling in nicely. As you can see he seems to enjoy playing catch the squeaky chicken with Jenny!
When we first went to look for a cat we found that Paddy the all black cat took to my partner and was so affectionate that we had to take him home. Within hours he had settled in and was eating and even came up on the sofa to sit beside us both. Paddy is such a tall strong cat that we decided to rename him Samson! He is so playful and loves playing with his toys and he adores hugs and kisses and any kind of attention you give him. This little cat has helped me and my partner both get over our last cat and move on to give Samson all the love we have. Perhaps black cats do bring good luck after all as this cat has stolen my partners heart which is amazing as he prefers dogs but this cats personality wins hands down. Thanks very much
Tyler is now living very happily in his new home. He's a well settled member of the family. He loves his walks, rest and his sausages!!
Rhubarb & Custard
hi, just wanted to give you an update on the kittens, they're doing really well, settling in. they're so much fun to watch. tim & I have had lovely cuddles from rhubarb, getting brief ones from custard. they love tim's feet & lick them & then try & nibble!
it's fantastic having them here. thank you so much
Hello I just wanted to let you know that we took Hayleigh, the white German Shepherd you had on your website home with us last week on Wednesday night. She has settled in with our lab Marley very well and has finally started to eat properly. She is so good with the kids and is so well trained – we are so glad to have her.
Here are a couple of photos of Jack. As you can see, it didn’t take him long to settle in.
He really loves that tennis ball. We’ll have to get a few spares in.
Just thought I'd give you another update on Bran. We're able to trust him off the lead now on walks so he's getting to run about the parks now chasing birds, as long as we have a bag of treats to bring him back. It's also a competition now between Kelly and I's parents to mind Bran when we're going out so he's getting plenty of attention, and if he doesn't feel he's getting enough he'll grab a toy and drop it at your feet and stare at you until you play.
I've attached some pictures of him out in my parents back garden, where he has a weird obsession with trying to eat grass all the time.
He's been settling in well so he has, tried to get out of the boot of the car the whole way home last Thursday but he's happy enough now and just likes standing up to see out. Haven't worked too much yet on separation while in the apartment, maybe only 10 to 15 minutes at a time and so far he just whines a bit and then looks out the patio doors into the park at the other dogs. He still gets his toast for breakfast and found out today when we ran out of bread that he also likes porridge so happy days he's easy to please. We've put him up to 3 meals a day to try and get some weight on him, plus I don't know if he's used to 4 walks a day so he's very content sleeping when he's not running around after his toys. We haven't let him off the lead yet out on walks because we're not sure yet if he'll come back so we're working on him responding to his name and just giving him lots of praise and play when he does. So far the only time he has barked is when he caught his own reflection in the mirror and when I hoovered haha, so we're very happy with him so far and we think that he's happy enough here too. Peter and Kelly
Hi I’ve attached a couple of pictures of Poppy (daughter of Chloe, sister of Ellie). I got her in November last year and she is a bundle of fun and gets on really well with my other dog and cat and loves her cuddles. Many thanks for the happiness this wee dog has brought into my house.Kind regards. Claire
Thought we would let you know how amber is doing... We would of attached a photo but trying to get her to sit still and not play about with the camera is difficult..
Her stitches have gone and her fur has almost grown to match the rest now, and she has put on weight... She no longer hides away in fact she likes very much to be the center of attention.. We have some videos of her playing with a scratch post and a blue tunnel thing, she is so loving and affectionate.. altho we are looking forward to the day she learns to have more control over her claws lol...
She loves to curl up under the duvet with us and we often find her in between us in the morning digging her feet into us to try and get more room...
Her relationship with our other cat still has its up's and downs.. They will sleep on the same bed sniff each other and give each other kisses and both struggle to sit on my lap at the same time and chase each other.. but they still have there scraps and Amber still likes to growl alot but they are getting there...
We have found out that she along with our other cat loves tuna andis very vocal about it when the tin comes out.. she has a purr as loud as a motorbike at times... but over all she is settleing in just fine.. as I write this I can hear both of the cats chargeing about upstairs and jumping all over our bed...
Thank you so much for allowing us to give Amber a home.. altho she never comes to us when we call her Amber so we adopted the name Bambi because of her long legs and how she has not quite found her balance and still trips over them.. she seems to like this name as she always comes to it...
with kind regards chris and sam
Goldilocks & Gingersnap
Just sending you a picture of the little wrecking balls! Gingersnap (Steve) left & Goldilocks (Georgie) right.
So far they've ruined my washing basket and my carpet and I'm just waiting to see what's next!! Even for that, I still adore them and they just need to give me their kitty cat eyes and all is forgiven! They are loving the life of relaxing with the big old fella Axl... and they've even managed to get him running about!
I'm just so happy that we were able to get these furry additions to our home and look forward to many years of cuddles and early morning wake up calls!
They are dynamite but I wouldn't change them for the world! Spoilt wee brats haha!!
Thank you so much for an amazing addition to our lives.
All our love,
Steve, Georgie & Axl the puddytats
Salty has had his wee op and is doing brilliant! Still his happy wee self, running round like a mad man!
He is such a wee nosey cat! Loves nothing more than getting into boxes and cupboards as soon as you open them! He is like my wee shadow always following me around the house! As you will probably see he is huge, a wee monster cat!
Thanks again! Felt like fate I found Salty and he is definitely part of the family now, can't imagine life without him! He's always talking and loves his cuddles whilst purring away!
Hey, just wanted to send a wee email to say thank you so much for all your help in giving us the joy of owning such a loving kitten, she really is a joy to be with, I have included a few photos of eglintine and also some of her with her uncle pingu so you can see for yourself her wonderfull progress. Thanx again, charlie and laura
He is amazing! He loves being stroked and cuddled. I just love how he stretches out his paws when he snuggled on my chest sleeping. Thankyou again i really am so happy with him,he doesn't respond tho when i call him martin :( i tried a few others and he comes to me when i call him neo, probably because it sounds like a meow lol he really likes it so i think i may change his name, hope you don't mind :) Again thankyou so much for such amazing fella i love him so much already :)
Thank you for enabling me to adopt Boomer the cat . He was very nervous when I got him home with me that night. but soon came around the next day and has been sleeping very comfortably on my bed. He is a fantastic little pussy cat, albeit a bit sleepy.
As a token of appreciation I made a small donation via Paypal to 7th Heaven Animal Rescue Trust, who up until a week ago I'd never heard of, but having familiarised myself with your website and your work, I'm in total awe of the charitable work that your members carry out on a voluntary basis to look after the welfare of stray animals. I think the donation was the least I could do, considering that there was no charge for Boomer, and 7th Heaven are even going to pay for the neutering. You are doing really important and valuable work, and as an animal lover, I for one appreciate it.
I have attached some photos of Boomer, and you can rest assured he has found a very safe, comfortable and loving home where he shall be very happy, and hopefully for the rest of his life.
Hi everyone, Just to let you know how Fumble is getting on.
Fumble was very shy at the beginning, he had hidden behind the television and it took a lot of coaxing to get him out. I was a little concerned that he did not want to explore his new home in the usual curious cat-like way. But a few days later and he soon came round. We’ve been watching the football all week and I’ve had a few friends round and he started to venture out and say hello. He came out and jumped up on the sofa and made his way along everyone to get attention then made his way across to the chairs on the other side of the living room for more people to fuss over him.
Fumble doesn’t cry at all. He’s been eating well, uses his litter tray (there have been no accidents) and seems to have now got fond of a chair under the shelter of the kitchen table adjacent to the radiator, where he can watch everyone passing back and forth before deciding to come out on his own terms (pic attached).
He charms everyone, but we have all discovered that if we leave him to his own devices, he will come out for attention of his own accord. So all in all I think he’s settling in nicely.
Dave & Fumble.
Harry (aka Sandy)
Thought we'd let you know how Harry/Sandy is settling in.
He's been doing really well. Can't believe he hasn't even been with us a week! He's discovered he likes swimming and had a great time going into the sea after a ball yesterday. He comes back when called, but obviously we've only let him off where it's very quiet. Don't trust him that much yet!! He seems to be house trained, as we've had no accidents so far and has settled really well at night. He doesn't seem to be a morning dog, as he doesn't want to get up first thing!!
Anyway, thanks again for looking after him so well and we'll be in touch with more photos.
Woody (aka Bugsy)
Bugsy, now Woody is doing very well. He and Leah the Lionhead are totally bonded and totally devoted to each other. I'm not exaggerating when I say where one is, so too is the other one. Rarely do they sit separately and are side by side 99% of the time. They are truly a match made in heaven!Woody is a brown & white butterfly lop (see pictures in gallery). When you look at him from the back you can see the shape of the butterfly wings on his back. He is very friendly
Mo & Connie
David and Dot here its 10 days now since we got Mo he is fantastic settled right away no problems. He is so loving and very well behaved loves his walks loves his toysand just has become one of the family everybody just loves him to bits. We just cant believe its only 10 days. He follows me (David) everywhere even when i go to the bathroom
he lies outside till i come out. Every morning when i am getting ready to take him for his walk he gets very excited when he sees me getting my shoes on. he is just fantastic and we all love him so much. I (david) have a very strong bond with Mo and he with me we are just mates.
Connie is here just 3-4 days and she to has settled just like Mo no problems and the two of them are getting on great, sleep together go walks together no problems at all, she too is loving and well behaved and has become one of the family everybody loving her just as much
We all cant believe how well they have settled, we now are like a home again.
After loosing our two lovely dogs within eight weeks of each other after 12 years we thought our home would never be the same now its normal again thanks to you all .We cannot thank you enough not only for Mo and Connie but for the wonderful work you do saving animals homing them, caring for them. People like you should be given medals for words are not enough. We only hope that your tireless efforts go on for many many years to come and we will always help in any way we can. (see their pictures in the animals in their new homepage)
We decided to call "Fritz" Max.
He's doing very well and loves playing with his toys his favourite game is "tug of war".
We are all very grateful (especially Max) to 7th Heaven for everything you did to save Max
from being put down.
Casey has grown into a lovely cat. Oh she cries sooooooooo loud for her breakfast, walks on her back legs and rubs her head against my legs so hard. After breakfast she sleeps on my side of the bed while i'm at work and gallops to the door when I come home. She loves brown surfaces but does prefer brown fluffy cushions to mahagony. She gets brushed every week and gets her hair trimmed on a monthly basis. She does have a delicate tummy now and then so it is best to be proactive with the bum fur trimming (oh she purrs so loud knowing she's all groomed). When not sleeping Casey works for the National Trust, bird watching. She makes noises as though she is choking when she sees a bird at her bird feeder outside. Oh I love my Casey, she waits outside the bathroom door for me and has caught on to jump on a window sill to get away from Harry. We have accepted that we no longer have a fur free house, when we put our fan on the fur circles through the house like tumble weed. Casey can now tell the time. She gets her supper at 9pm so sits as close to the clock as she can from 8.30pm crying so loud at any word that sounds like 'dinner'.
Dexter is doing brilliant, he has got so big.thanks Kelly, Trevor and Dexter
Hi Just wanted to let you know how our week has gone with Blackie. He's been very good, he likes to be in the house with us and loves the attention. Him and Martin have been having some great walks across the fields too.
We have a little bed for him in the living room which he seems to like, he's not overly fond of staying in the kennel at night time so we just let him stay indoors.
Things seem to be working out well and hopefully they'll continue to go that way. Thanks for all your help in finding a really great dog for us!
Hi, I am just contacting you regarding Joker the cat now named smudge whom we got from yourselves 6 weeks ago. He has settled in very well with us, has lots of energy and never seems to stop playing which is great. We have continued with his herbal supplements including his nosodes and he seems to be happy enough taking them.
The two of them are getting on brilliantly together. They very rarely leave the house and lounge around all day then decide at 2am its Party Time and spend the next hour or so running riot round the house knocking ten bells out of each other.
I've attached a few pictures to let you see how they're looking now.
Thanks for everything....Stuart.
I got two male cats of you around two years ago and I thought I'd give you an update. They were initially called Doodle and Jester, but we changed their names to Charlie and Chester.
Charlie is pure black and the smaller of the two and is very affectionate and purrs like a JCB. He loves being stroked and will do tumbles to get his belly rubbed. He's quite picky with his food, but has a habit of bringing me "presents" home. I've got him trained to give me a high 5 before he gets a treat. He's fascinated by the washing machine and will sit in front of it as it whirls away then paw at the glass as something catches his attention.
Chester.....well where do I start with him. He looks very similar to the Felix cat with a little Hitler moustache. ...lol....He hasn't much of a meow, It's more of a squeek which I find rather amusing. He's also an eating machine. I can never fill him, but had to put him on a diet as he was eating his own food then whatever Charlie was leaving, so at times he was eating 3x what Charlie was eating. He too can be affectionate at times, but he picks and chooses when he wants to be stroked. When he's not eating he's sleeping. He's not interested in doing tricks to get treats though. You may remember yourself showing me him giving you kisses by pushing his head into yours ? He still does that to this day.
The two of them get on great together. They play fight all the time and go out on the prowl side by side. We've a massive garden and plenty of fields to keep them occupied.
I've tried to get a picture of Charlie, but he's a bit camera shy.......but here's a few of Chester to let you see how he's getting on.
Thanks for all your help......Stuart
Thank you for the kitten - he is a lovely young animal and very affectionate.
Hi there, The kitten is doing great, I've renamed her Ripley (after the character from Aliens) as once she got used to us and my other cat she pretty much became fearless lol she attacks the Hoover and is curious about everything.. I'm glad I went with my instinct to choose her over her brother she's been a great fit (see pictures in animals in their new home) Regards Karl
He is doing super, he is such a loving cat!
Hey there its Pete,
I adopted Fraggle at the begining of january and i jus thought I'd let you now she's settled in brilliantly. Couldn't be better shes so calm and relaxed and always around for a cuddle. thanks you soo much !!! (see picture of her in animals in their new home page)
Pics of Kimba and Razz (was called Pizazz) they have both been neutered now and have made our home their home. They have grown into beautiful cats but still have the minds of kittens as there behavour hasn't changed 1 bit. Just thought I'd send you some pics of our lovly kittys.(see pictures gallery on our website) I hope more cats are happily rehomed, as our 2 have never been happier.. thankyou
Sugar (now Pixie)
I just wanted to let you know that little Sugar (now Pixie), has settled in really well to her new home. She gets on great with her new big brother, 10 year old KitKat and loves to stalk him and jump round his neck. If she gets too much for him he gives her a gentle bop on the nose and she knows to give him peace for a wee while! Her favourite things are pine cones, and cuddles, and we have now discovered that you have to keep your tea well out of her way as she loves the stuff! Thank you so much and keep up the good work. It is great what you are doing for these animals. Linda and Tara xox
Sooty & Sweep
I collected two kittens sooty and sweep almost 2 years ago! They took a while to come around and can still be jittery.
I am glad to say they have settled in well to our family home and decided to keep us, They have got such great personalities that my whole family has taken to them and loves them very much! sooty loves getting his belly rubbed and falls asleep purring, sweep is a bit of a scamp who if you are not paying him enough attention to him hits you with his bum just so you know he is there! he also likes his bellly rubbed and getting towel dried if it has been raining.
We are so pleased with them enjoying life and enjoying being with us we cannot think of life without them.
Thank you for the gift you gave me and my family.
Alfie (aka Oscar)
Just a wee note to let you know & See how Alfie (aka Oscar) is getting on with Oscar. Alfie has settled in great - he is actually calmer than Oscar and he believe it or not does as he is told!! At first we thought we had made a terrible mistake as both dogs wrestled all day Saturday and all night Saturday into the wee small hours of Sunday morning and we thought it would never end, but 1 week on and they getting along as though they have always been together.
Chloe (aka Phoebe)
This was the little 10 week old border collie pup (Phoebe) that lived with you for a few weeks. She's getting so big. She's very bright and very greedy. Love's cat food and the cat's bed and the cats!! Unfortunately they don't do playing so she has to wait until my sister brings her dogs. Harley is the one in the photo with Chloe.
Miso (aka Dumpling)
We love our kittens so much. They have the best personalities and we have bonded with them completely. Soup runs around chirping all the time.. Miso is more quiet but she will jump up when she wants petted.. but HATES it when you pick her up. She's a little madam.. we call her the princess affectionately.
They are very healthy happy wee things.. they love to play.. but most of all as you will see in the pictures they love to sleep ! We'd be lost without them now. They are sleeping beside me as I write this.. and they say Meow !
1st anniversary of Harlow (AKA Hero)
hi i just wanted to give you an update on my cat which i rescued from yourselves a year this month. After an eventful year as you can see he has completely taken over the bed areas and the settee of the house. When i got him he was so scared but after lots of tlc he has finally became best friends with myself and behaves more like a dog than a cat following me about waiting on me in the morning and sitting outside shower to i finish or looking for me werever i go.He loves company and on one occasion he even came shopping with me,He loves the back garden but never leaves the surrounding area and climbs through his cat flap whenever he wants to come back inside for more attention, cant imagine him not being here and would just like to thank you all for giving me my special friend ,,,,gloria
Sooty and Sweep
I adopted 2 cats back in 2009 around August and wanted to let you know their progress for your web site. I have pic's of my 2 Babies and they are brill words cannot describe how much my family love them!
Sooty is shy and will only sit with me or my Father, Sweep is completly different he would go to anyone in the house, both have their own special bed Sooty loves the chairs where Sweep loves his hammock.
hi .. just thought I'd drop you a line about Maggie the 18 month lab x we homed about 6 weeks ago. She's on the mend today after getting spayed and thank you once again covering the cost of this. She's still a very food orientated dog and on recommendation from the vet she has gained a few kilos and is fit and healthy and enjoying our long walks... We're talking her to Scotland with us on a camping trip next weekend so I'll be in touch and let you know how she got on..... regards from Sabrina + Martin
We have all had a fun (sleepless) first night :) Gabbie Zappa shouted alot of the night to check where we went to and then eventually settled about 0500 outside our bedroom door :) She is currently wrapping in and out of my legs. A very highly intelligent wee cat opening doors with her paw. Investigating every height. Nervous at the moment but chirping away :) Adores her whiskas and had NO bothers getting used to the litter trays. I am back to having a shadow :) At least with wooden floors you can hear 'tipity taps' behind you :)
She's a great wee character I adore her already have never owned a cat like her. Transition period has been grand so far. I expected the sleepless first night :) Will post photos asap (when she will sit still) LOL. And will update You guys.
Thanks so much for introducing this wonderful wee girl into our lives :)
Carla & Eamonn
Hi Oscar is settling in brilliantly. I love the wee man so much. I took him on friday morning to the vet for a full check up and he is in great health apart from his eye which is conjunctivitis, i have been using drops for this and it appears to be clearing up. We are due to go back in the morning to let the vet see how he's progressing. Also the vet informed me that Oscar is around 7yrs old :)
My cat Tc has been amazing with him which i think has really helped him settle. On the first night Oscar didnt seem to want to eat but Tc pawwed at the food as if encouraging and reassuring him, next thing Oscar came over to the food and ate it. They communicated in gentle purr-like sounds with each other on the first meeting and have been sitting together a lot since. I hope you like the picture i have attached to this email :) the boys certainly do look alike.
Oscar is very very affectionate and lets me stroke and lift him, he will even roll onto his back and lie happily purring while i stroke his tummy which i know is a huge trust thing for cats to do. He no longer cowers when i enter a room nor does he move or jump if i walk past him while he is laid on the floor catching the sun through the window.
I cant thank you enough for letting Oscar come and live with Tc and I, we both love him so much. I especially enjoy now being able to say 'my boys' as opposed to just boy. Alison & Oscar Wilde
6 months on....
I just wanted to send you this little picture of Oscar 6 months on, as you will see he is in fantastic condition, i took it last night while him, Tc and myself were curled up on the bed :) Can't thank you enough for blessing me with such an amazing wee cat, he really is a brilliant addition to my household - Alison
And much later....
Oscar is amazing, he is a big sop and loves nothing more than coming for cuddles and if you try to stop he will just paw and paw at your hands until you start again ha ha
Hi, here as promised are a few pics of the man himself!! he is settling in just amazingly.. cassie my dog stared at him the whole way home, but they are so good with each other, they just dont bother with each other.. Cinnabar is an amazing boy.. thanks again,
will always keep in touch,
Marcia & Cinnabar xx
Hi there. Just wanted to let you know how Amber's first few hours where going. We got her home and our cat was very nosey trying to sniff her etc but amber was growling alot as was expected so set our cat off with the growls made us laugh for such a small little thing, Amber sounds very loud, but they have settled down been close to each other a few times just going to take them a little while but im sure there going to get on in no time. Amber has eaten tuna and had some milk and has been all over our daughter who just loves her and Amber is liking sitting on her lap, at the moment she is snuggled into my lap watching me type this email, will let you know how things go.
all the best Samantha and Chris
Amber - update
hello there, just wanted to send you some pictures of amber and let you know how she's doing, she is a character and a half! She is a very clever cat, she really likes to climb, she has so far swung off our curtains(which we couldn't tell her off for because she looked so funny clinging to them swinging herself). She also loves to pull out anything in a paper bag and sit in it! She has learnt how to open our fridge and has taken a packet of open ham and ran away with it into the front room to share it with our other cat! Again we where amazed by her intelligence and had to laugh especially at the fact she had the good grace to share it with our other cat. She is so playful but very loving, she has taken to snuggling in between myself and Sam in the night and we often wake up to her laying on one of our pillows fully stretched out with the blankets over her! And for some reason she thinks we need grooming all the time and has taken to licking us! I think she has gotten this habbit from our other cat... she is such a wounderful gift and we laugh all the time. She knows when our car pulls up and sits waiting for us by the front door and promptly sticks her head into what ever bag we have to see if there's anything interesting inside!.. and she loves to give cuddles... even when you don't want her to! She will just throw herself at you anyway...and she loves to steal teddys or pencils from our little girl's room and make her chase her to get them back, waits a few minites and then does it again (it's her favourite game at the moment)
thank you again for letting us give her a home she fits in perfectly.
all the best and kind reguards chris and sam
